I have a 2006 wrx that has stock suspension, Forester limited STI 17" rims made by Enkei.
I want to increase the stance and push the wheels outer more. I know the best solution is to get rims with wider offset but thats not in the budget for right now. and i do not want us to start debating if spacers are harmful or no because i know many sitting on spacers for years with no isssues and i do not track my car. only my daily driver car. I need opinions based on previous experience: Shall i go with the 15mm spacers? 10?? 20?? I prefer not to roll my fenders. so what is the best choices? opinions about Ichiba brand? Thanks. and Happy New Year everyone.

they are 2008 forester sports wheels, not forester sti. forester sti wheels are 5x114.
either way, they are only 7" wide. you'll need a 10-25mm spacer to make a visual difference. Ichiba SUCKS. not so much the spacers themselves, but the studs that come with them are absolute garbage. |

(1) Grab a tape measure.
(2) Walk out to your car and measure to where you think you'd like the wheels to sit. (3) Order spacers in that size. (4) ??? (5) Profit. You want to do this for aesthetic reasons, which is perfectly fine. But none of us know how you want the car to look, so it's awfully hard for anyone to tell you what size spacer you should get. Not to mention that there are probably very few folks who have any idea what the size and offset of the Forester STI wheels are. Nor do we know what size tires you're running. Without knowing the key parts of the wheel fitment equation, we can't give you a whole lot of advice. |

Honestly, I myself I do not know what rims I have. Take a look. They are 17" with STI logo in the rims. someone on this forum told me that they are the limited forester edition rims.

they are 2008 forester sports wheels that somehow ended up gold. they are 17x7 +48.
![]() Subaru actually makes several sets of wheels that have the same face design. Spec C/RAR wheels have the same spoke design, but are 5x114.3 18x8.5. They also make an 18x8 for the jdm Legacy. There IS an OEM 17x7 wheel that is identical to what you have - they are a JDM forester sti option, but they are 5x114.3. Last edited by sc00by4life; 12-31-2012 at 08:36 PM. |

d000000000000d....ditch the wheels and get wheels that actually FIT
and stop tryin so hard to be all k00 an **** with it and ya be better off the wrong offset kills the way the car drives and makes it bump steer and makes the steering bad and all sorts of stuff |

and yer gunna hafta buy spacers and any spacer more than 5mm you will have to get new lug studs and 20 new lug studs aint cheap and ya gotta pull the hubs to put longer studs in and so if ya dont do that work yourself ya gonna have to pay and ya gotta change the bearing seals so ya gotta buy them too and on and on and on and on and its gonna cost ya more to put the wrong wheels on the car than the right ones, in the end so...maybe ya really need to rethink what you think you know about all this and stop with the k00-k00 kiddieness before ya really screw the p00ch |

I don't know if those wheels have pockets in the mounting face between the lug stud holes to allow the stock wheel studs to poke through. |

those bolt on spacers are quite costly as well.....the cost offset is still quite high for this option and the poor suspension geometry is still there the right wheesls are the best option |
