Neither of those would shake a car, but would definitely round out the sound that most likely will be flat without it.

I kinda want to wait until I have the current set up install first then decide wheter or not I want to add the sub. Hopefully the car come before the end of the year so I can still get the discount otherwise I'm fine with waiting til next holiday season to get the same discount.

Bass is like horsepower, you'll always want more until you have enough to be dangerous. If you are only going to have 1 sub I would recommend a 10" small enclosure sub for the trunk, it would barely be larger than the basslink but sound a lot better.. and hide a class D amp under a seat. |

I have a hatch back so trunk space isn't going to be a problem lol. And the basslink will beat a lot of the 10" enclosed subs out there. I have personally listened to this subwoofer so I know how powerful it is.

That statement is utter BS. Powered correctly I don't know a true 10 that it will "beat". My 10 will crush one of those and it was $60. $95 if you count the enclosure. I've installed like 15 of those basslink systems and while I understand why people buy them, they are not really that good.

Sooo I got my car however still waiting on SVXc to reply to me about the 20 pin harness. He's probably busy because of the holiday. Hopefully I'll hear back soon so I can start this project because the stereo is really bad in this car.

I would agree the Basslink isn't going to beat any real sub setups. I think people forget you don't have to buy the latest amp and sub, there is some decent cheap stuff out there that you can put together for less. It is a nice unit though at least it plays a full range of sound, I think it blows away any of the the little underseat subs.

This gets confused because stock audio systems are sort of perverted, they know they aren't going use a subwoofer, and the budget for the speakers is a couple bucks, they use very efficient cheap speakers that can play down pretty low. Aftermarket speakers have a different purpose, all but the lowest end gear is designed for a system with a subwoofer. |

Still no word from SVXc so I might have to hack up those Metra harness like I originally planned.
@Power6: Frequency is the first thing I look at when selecting which speakers I want to buy. And I know the purpose they were made for. However like you said a lot of people actually buy these stuff for they "loudness". |

Got the harness from SVX and everything is ready to be installed. However I've been debating about selling the Kappa Perfect 6.1 and get a pair of JBL MS-62c instead.
