Default SPT catback sufficient for stage 2?

I just got a Perrin catted downpipe on my 2008 installed. I also just realized the SPT catback I have isn't 3" piping throughout. How significant would the gains be if I switched to a full 3" catback?

Agreed. Zero. You may also experience boost creep with the extra flow you have created. You will need to keep an eye on that.
Research first. Then buy.

Catbacks on the 3g's are for sound, not performance.

Get a 3"... It's a turbo'd car, the less back pressure the better

If all you're doing is going Stage II than you have no reason to replace the SPT CB. Full 3" is for much more horsepower than what you're up to.
