Correct sir, all I ran was Keith's tune with my basic setup. I have not had any other work done or parts from AWDTuning. Long story short, he's far from me and I'm a busy fella. Point of that was, he knows his stuff when it comes to tunes. I cannot say anything about his motor specs but we've discussed some of his specs and experience. All his specs were on point with what I would build, IF I wanted a NEW 8.7CR motor.

I have gone the custom route for my build, with my parts combo, my purpose of the vehicle, and my budget. If suprise expenses didn't keep kicking me in the nuts, I'd already have their stage2 shortblock installed.

Like all reviews, depends on the source. Just consider where you're getting your information and use your best judgement. Lots of tuners catch heat from stubborn customers refusing to accept they jacked it up. Built never means indestructible.

Thanks for all of the free bumps guys, and my good friends and their kind words. We always strive to do a superior job on anything we do, but its completely understandable there will always be a few who don't feel this way.

Anyhow we are now also keeping our stage 3 motors in stock all of the time too!

On another note the 8.7:1 CR is an average ratio between the ej255/ej257 head. This will always be somewhat dynamic depending on the head gasket used during assembly for proper clearance and the type of heads being bolted down. We have found at this CR, with proper octane the car is very responsive and transitions into boost seamlessly without having to run a lot of timing to make good power which overall will lead to a long term happier engine.

If anyone has any other questions or concerns feel free to email me directly, for the quickest response. keith@awdtuning.com

Happy Holidays!

-Keith

Really? Have you ever talked to Keith about your issues? Because when I read through your member galley thread you spoke of nothing but how great your car was running on your awdtuning tune. And according to the pictures of your car at the track with your dad (which is awesome btw) your license plate shows a California address? I personally have not looked at your billing to know if your sales tax claims are accurate but I can only assume that if Keith or someone at the shop didn't charge your sales tax in an effort to help you save money then they only did because of an out of state address which would have been verified.
Also, you do realize that we don't charge sales tax on services such as a tune, modifying injectors or labor? Sales tax would only apply on parts and again I'm unclear of if you purchased parts through the shop or not.
Now as for the injectors, Keith has never once made any claims of exactly what they flow. He speaks of a range but if there are ever any problems he does everything he can to prevent or correct any issues. Not sure what happened with these injectors you speak of because it has not ever been brought to our attention that there were issues. But I do notice that your engine is still running and I happen to know from experience that if an injector failed, stock modified or aftermarket, that the car would start running very badly and could lead to engine failure. All of which you don't seem to have.
I am sorry for anything that we have done to make you feel wronged as it is never our intention. We started the shop to help people save money in anyway we can. I personally ran modified stock injectors on my car for a year with no issues and would not recommend the option if we knew of issues. While I will agree that purchased aftermarket injectors is a better option, sometimes funds prevent people from that option and we are just trying to help.
Again I apologize for whatever happened and if there is every anything we can do for you just let us know.
Mary

Ps thank you for your service to our country. I have lost family members in the line of duty and have many others that still serve. Your sacrifice is not something that we take lightly. Thank you

First off... why would ANYone bitch about not paying tax? Second... I am running a AWD stage two engine for, I don't know, maybe 2500 miles now, this thing is flawless. The only problem I have is blowing off intercooler pipes because my coupler obviously sucks. Other than that I had a tiny oil leak from a catch can line that had a worn out factory clamp that took me all of 3.5 minutes to fix. I drive this car in traffic, it's great, no oil burning, and I'm running daily at 24-25 psi. 400whp 375wtq all day long.

I was personally burned by another local shop in the area who took TWO DAYS and charged nearly $1000 to remove the speed limiter and raise the red-line on my 370Z...

By the way, I never JUST drive my car, it gets beaten on, within reason, no over revving, or stuff like that, just good old fashioned spirited driving.

I'm extremely happy with my Stg II engine from Awdtuning
It has been running strong for 6k miles now and I love the way it sounds. Couldn't be happier going through these guys for my build or anything else I get done by them. Hope this helps smiththrs
