We ate wings and made fun of UFC fights. Also I watched Football. And I hadn't had wings in quite a while so that alone made the night good.

So my car decided it wants to be a whore, and started making a really loud hissing/air leak noise at idle. I can't figure out where it's coming from though.

Check all along the intake tract? Also look for vacuum lines.

Two most common places for air leaks on a wrx is the blue Tee fitting behind the alternator (no barbs to hold on the hoses), or the EBCS return line to the intake tube (drys out n cracks long before anything else).
Check there first

Stock top mount. It sound more up towards the front. I just drove it and it sounds like a whining noise.

Up front on the drivers side? Wow, hmmm. Nothing up there really that has air flow. Valve cover seal leak? Seems odd. Maybe it's an a/c leak? Is it running rough or diff at all? Time to break out the stethoscope perhaps..?

More i think about it, maybe its not an air leak, maybe its something in the a/c pulley. I've seen little rocks/debris in there before make a ton of racket.
I would say try blowing it out with compressed air, or in a worst case, the easy way to tell if its a a/c pump/pulley, alternator, or ps pump issue, its to remove one accessory belt at a time and start the car n see...

I was actually starting to think it was one of the pulleys. Of course in my worst case scenario mind I thought that had to be too easy. Ill take them off tomorrow and see.

So what all is involved in the 60k service for a 2007 STI? Anyone know off the top of their head or a good resource for me? I'll be needing it done within 2500 miles so I figure I may as well get it out of the way since I'm out of windshield wiper fluid anyway.

How was Bowling last night? I would have come but this girl I know was heading back to Gonzaga today and wanted to hang out last night.

Should be drain and replace all fluids (except power steering?), spark plugs, air filter and cabin air filter.
