Default Opinions on my latest stupid idea please.

First I have a 94 WRX motor, drivetrain, engine bulkhead wiring harness, front wiring harness, and ECU; that will be going into my 2000 RS. I found a wrecked 2000 RS at a salvage yard and I am picking up the compartment bulkhead wiring harness and instrument wiring harness. The idea would be to splice my JDM harnesses into the spare US harnesses so it will be plug and play so to speak when it comes time for the install. Has anyone tried this or heard of it not working? Also downtime is the enemy since I only have one car.

Just seems to be sort of a waste of time, if your going to splice it anyway, just do it into the your rs and save some money. But if you do this, you could maybe document it extensively and then make more plug and play harness's easier, and sell those, or just post the info for others.

Sounds like a great idea Jud!! When do we get to go to the junkyard? Tomorrow??? Pleeeeeaaaasssseeee!!!! I want to find cool stuff that I need for my car too....plus, we can get yours ready for the major weekend install marathon....swapping the entire '94 drivetrain into your '00RS between 5pm on a Friday and 7am Monday !!

Sounds fun!
