Mechanical speedo?

95 impreza L swapped to an 02 Wrx. Will it work if I keep the stock cluster and mechanical speedo. Or do I have to do a dash swap.

If you are keeping the L transmission you are fine. If you switch trannies you will have to rewire the speedo to work off the electronic speed sensor.

Or you can just unscrew the electronic sender form the WRX trans and insert the mechanical one off your L, did this to my car works fine with the old dash and new trans.
