From what I read the Evo guys had tons of problems with them. I'm looking for more options to get more fuel out of my 08+ plastic housing setup and that seems like the best answer, if it works... Or the new Walbro 465, but I don't know if it will fit.

In Ed's defense he held out for true numbers more than most did, and people around this forum are starting to call their local dynojets and 'wheels-off' variants "heart breakers".

The last people I knew of using real mustang type numbers were Akuma, EQ, and STM. Pretty sure Akuma is on the dynojet calibration now too for the same reason.... I guess, though, if other shops are using the inflated numbers it makes it harder to compete when you say they can make "300" and the other place is saying they can make "350".

Ah well.

We are not running Dynojet Calibration. I personally do not like to compare numbers as we all know numbers on one dyno is not necessarily comparable to another. Its better to compare them on the street, line them up and see what happens. Minus any driver error a good old race should reveal the faster car. Its about the tunes performance, longevity and reliability. Im sure we can all agree on that.

Absolutely and you guys do a good job. I had just thought you all had changed your calibration. I know John was explaining to a few GTR owners another shop's inflated numbers.

Wow really? I just figured they got a new dyno or changed there settings as my buddies 11 stage 2 sti on 93 made 310/327. Those are Amazing numbers in that case, I didn't know the newer models made power like that.

Btw... Anyone notice this thing is making 300ft-lbs by about 3700RPM? I think this is the area where the GTX turbos really shine by filling in the curve before peak torque.

my FP black hit 300wtq at 3350rpm.... yes on the 2011 STi tranny

Do you recommend running a catch can Ed?

No. its my car catless invidia downpipe, p&l catback, aem intake, dw65 fuel pump

With the new dyno calibration it would actually be around 3200-3300RPM but its not an apples to apples comparison. That was done in a taller gear (4th gear on 08+ 6MT) and that car was running a TMIC. Either way, that turbo does spool faster in general, but this GTX3076 still has quite a bit more power left in it while the 3071 was nearly maxed out. Both are great turbos depending on what power and spool characteristics you're looking for.

Yea... This 3076 would also do that if I made a pull in 5th gear on the road .

Catch cans are good for higher power, higher boost cars and especially if they're being tracked. I'm not a big fan of AOS's, however, unless you have a ton of oil consumption for some reason. And then it's basically just a decent bandaid.

I'd love to try it out... just need the right customer .

Its supposed to be somewhere between the GTX3582 and GTX3076.
