Default Treadstone Clearance

Just throwin this out there. Treadstone Performance has a killer deal on clearanced 3" stainless v-band assemblies. The website says they're out but just spoke with a guy on the phone and said they have about 30 sets left...30 bux for a set.

i sell these a lot since i work at a fab store and i got about 8 out of 10 fabricators that build crazy **** complaining that it warps since the pipe sits too low, a vibrant v-band works better but its more expensive.

Not sure what you're referring to by the "pipe sits too low"?...Aside from the flanges being thinner walled than I've seen there's no difference. Your 8 to 10 fabricators are probably dumping too much heat into the stainless or like mentioned not clamping the flange being welded? Nothing wrong with these.

Just clamp the flange up to a clean piece of heavy plate. Weld with just enough heat to get a puddle. Let the part and plate cool to a temperature you can touch with a bare hand before unclamping.
