Default Topfeed Vs Sidefeed ?

I am planning a larger turbo somewhere in the 360-400whp range this summer and have been debating doing a fuel system conversion.

But I would much rather just drop in injectors and bolt on a New turbo then have to rip into the fueling system.

Are Sidefeed injectors as safe as Topfeed when you are staying in the 350-400whp power range or would it be best to just convert to Topfeed ?

The motor is already built and will have the following this spring

Crawford AOS
Killer B Oil Pickup

Ideas and opinions ?

I am trying to make reliable power and have spent a lot of time planning this.

The only difference is injector selection and price for the most part. For the same flow, top feeds will cost less because they're more plentiful especially when you're looking for more than 600cc.

Larger topfeeds also work and tune much better. But at that power level you could use 850s sidefeed and it would be ok. You should parallel the feed at least.

Yes, 850cc sidefeed injectors will be good for your power range.

I am just worried about possible tuning issues as I want this to be a very reliable car at higher power levels.

I just retuned my STi yesterday with 850cc sidefeed injectors and put down 380.5whp
You'll have no issues with using sidefeed injectors. If you are worried... get ID sidefeed to topfeed conversion rails
