looks like it is blocked off and mesh is in front of it for aesthetic value. i agree with scooby4life by saying that it will cause drag.

Yeah I doubt these cars go nearly fast enough for the increased drag (if any) to make a difference. I don't see many people running their car without a front plate because it "increases drag".

Once you cross 250 mph, that plate makes the car feel like it is driving.through pudding...too bad the gearing stops us at 165...

Our cars can actually hit 165? I thought it was a bit lower in the 140 range, though I never had the balls to test that out.

It could be a bit prettier, but I'm happy with it. The GPS can be removed from the visor if I want to use it in another car or update the maps.

I've done the V1 in the clock pod thing too, but I used a tinted piece of plastic (similar to the clock plastic but no clock buttons). And I got some extended screws and mounted my V1 right underneath the dome light, using the dome light mounting points. Much harder to spot from outside (I used to have it above the rear view mirror), and much harder to steal (since it's screwed into the roof.)

i'm not 100% that this is my cup of tea, but still extremely badass. there's no good way to keep a gps/charger plugged in AND out of the way. well done.

Yes, #2 would definitely kick in if you were going 165 in a WRX or STI. And I'm not talking about definition #2, I'm talking about #2

I like broaching better.
It's when you see your bro headed your way, he's broaching. "dude, why were you walking so funny as you broached". What's more unique than a new word?

Dont know if mines is unique but its custom made.

Did this only because I just had my front bumper freshly re-painted so I didnt want to have knicks like before due to my license plate scratching the paint.
How my front bumper looked like before the fresh paint:

Newly Repainted front bumper(thanks to the accident lol)

This is what I used:

Then I drilled 1 hole in each and screwed in my license plate screws through it.

The End product.

The Gap between the front bumper and the front license plate. I used the blue sears gift card so you can see the gap. I didnt want it protruding out too much as I feel there will be dumbasses that will get their cargo shorts caught on it while walking by my car on school campus.

Thanks for looking.

kinda pointless seeing how the license plate covers any scratches that it causes. but good idea!

Not if he ever sells the car to a state where the front plate isn't required. It's the same concept behind mounting pictures around the house with something that doesn't leave a huge hole in the wall.

Your right on that part but when you get those days where you just added a new car part and want to take pics of your ride and you take off the front plates, not having those scratches makes it look nicer imho. but to each their own i guess.

Not exactly unique, it's been done before. But certainly not common in most 05-07's:
