I doubt the pins would fall off from the spot of ice I slighly hit. The Canadian Sport Package is lower than the US model. It's annoying sometime for the ground clearance.
I think those empty holes are for the "front lip" option. My car the nothing on either side as well and the factory splash guard/said plate is only in the middle

Confirmed 17x7 +48

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=2239019

im guessing 19x8 +45 would fit, along with 245/35zr19 rubber

thoughts? Im kinda worried about loss of mpgs with 245 width honestly.

^^ This, exactly this - i've been a long time reader and have only recently started contributing, and this is exactly the question I was going to post in the wheel and tire forum (after doing hours of reading, i've learnt a lot, but I still wanted to triple check with the veterans here, to make sure I was spending my money properly).

'12 Impreza sport, and I threw 225/45r17 winter rubber onto my factory wheels (the 15 spoke 17x7 wheels). No issues with rubbing or clearance at all.

The stock rubber was 205/50r17, so I went 20mm wider without issue, but I kept the overall diamter with 1 or 2% of the original stock overall tire height.

Now, the question I have is the same as myrt 1987; would going to a 245 (245/35r19) width tire work? I've crawled under my car and it looks like it could fit- fender well rub with a heavy load would be close, but I can't tell for sure.

Any help is greatly appreciated guys, and apologies if it's a newby question. I've used the search function for many hours, and have learnt lots, but wanted to confirm.

Ryan
diameter goes from 25.07in in to 25.75in in according to 1010tires.com. and at 60 mph the speedometer would read 58.4 mph with new tires.

i think id be ok with that. and im pretty sure it will fit.

the only issue i have is wondering if it will affect mpg and handling negatively going to a much wider tire.

EDIT: well after more researching i found a few things: wider tires are better in dry conditions but are easier to hydroplane and slide on ice. It may be harder to turn the steering wheel as well. Acceleration takes a hit because of the increased rolling resistance which also hurts mpg. The braking is improved, however increased road noise and less comfortable. Overall, wider tires only benefit performance as opposed to daily driving.

Ill prob pass on em unless i get a good price.

This is more of a N/A Impreza thread. You should look into wrx threads for better information. Our cars are quite different. Good choice though, you're going to love it. Check out grimmspeed, cobb, perrin, kartboy, and maybe even cosworth for parts. The wrx has loads of potential. Uel headers would be a priority if I were you.
Good luck man! Congrats on the car.

I have a set of 205 60 16 winter tires from a previous car. I know they're not ideal but will they work? I have to buy 16" wheels so what width would be best?

stock rims are 17x7 +48mm offset with 205 tire. if youre keeping 205 then stay with 7" wide and 48mm offset

answer: 16x7 +48mm

Thank you. Would those 16x7 wheels allow 195/60-16 snow tires if and when I have to buy new snow tires?

I would think if you are going to smaller tire width you would want 6-6.5" wide rim, otherwise the tire gets stretched a little and you end up with a wider tire

You're fine with 7" wide rims. The difference between a 195 and a 205 is less than half an inch - unless you're looking for an excuse to buy rims...

I've been looking to pick up the Inno fairing for my roof rails. What size fairing is about right for this car? They sell a 43" and a 48"...

Hmmm....now I'm confused. Here's my thinking: I have the limited, so stock 17x7. I want a designated snow tire/wheel combo. I happen to have snow tires (no wheels) from a previous car and they're 205/60/16. I would need to buy 16" wheels. If the wheels could fit both the tires I have laying around and a more ideal size when I have to replace the rubber. I hope that makes sense.

I have the 38" Thule Fairing just so you get an idea. Not sure if either would fit but I believe I've seen one installed in the past.

Are you near CT. I have a brand new medium one for sale. It is the same size as the ones pictured in a few of these threads

I dont follow. Are you asking for rims that would fit 16 and 17" tire? Or are you asking if your winter tires will fit onto stock rims?

Btw, you will find your answer in the tire and wheel section. Every question already has been asked on this subject. And you will learn lots more, trust me.

Im not sure myself (about the question or answer actually lol) but i would assume you cannot stretch a 205/60/16 tire for a 17" wheel.

I have a Yakima 38". I think when I measured it, the spacing between the roof rails is about 40".
