Hi everyone - I am new to the forum. I just bought my first subaru, but my second saab: a 2006 Saabaru 9-2x Aero. So far I am loving it and the car is a blast to drive. Right now it is bone stock but I am a interested in waking it up a little. I also want to add a set of roof rails and some more comfortable seats (the stock ones are awful) that look pretty low key (AKA not STI). What is the most cost effective/easy/reliable way to get a little more power out of the 2.5? I have heard AccessPorts don't make that much of a difference on the 2.5 engine without other mods. True or false?

The Cobb stg2 and accompanying mods would be a good place to start. For a lot of people it's enough power and if not it's a great base for moving forward. For seats you might just want to keep an eye out in the FS sections. Anything from an 02-07 Impreza should bolt in fairly easy.

I would like to do Legacy GT ones, but I don't think they would bolt directly in. I think they changed their mounting points in '05 maybe. There seem to be differing opinions on the forum. This is the best thread I can find but it still doesn't seem to address my question:

I'm not positive but i believe LGT seats are not a direct bolt in for your car. Any of the ones that say :yes to the forester fitment in the thread above should also work in your 06.

I just picked up an 06 WRX wagon with limited package (heated leather), I find the drivers seat to be very comfortable, did the saabaru have a different seat?
I should note my wife says the back seat and the front passenger seat are uncomfortable (I think it's because they havent been broken in yet) or maybe these seeats just fit me better than others. |

I think they are the same basic design but with different headrests and covers. My main gripes are no leg support (all my weight ends up on my butt) and no lumbar support. I am usually fine for the first hour or so in the car, then it gets messy.
