Default Exhaust note

I have a 2005 STi with UEL Headers, 3" catless DP, and a TurboXS standard muffler exhaust.

All catless.

This exhaust is still a tad loud for my taste so I have been debating adding a resonator or switching exhausts. I have been looking into the Invidia Q300. Can anyone chime in and tell me what you think of the Q300?

TurboXS catbacks are a tad loud. Invidia is a softer note, a little bit of a drone. I'd say the Q300 is among the softer of the exhausts, but with a full exhaust setup it's hard to say if you would achieve a soft enough tone comfortable for you

I would check out this thread, which has a good collection of data on the subject.

Here is my car with the q300, full tbe. Just a idea. You can look at some of my other videos and hear it in the cab. Keep in mind the ones in the cab are with a el header.

The one on the dyno is uel header but you get the idea.

Save yourself some money and just put a resonator in which will get rid of the drone but as far as loudness goes there not much u can do about that even with the q300 cbe.

Put in a resonator OR goto a local meet and listen to other peoples exhaust. We can't tell you what we think because "loud" to one is not "loud" to another.
