I doubt the materials and design actually amount to any noticeable difference in cost. They're both just plastic, leather, and cloth positioned differently. If the leather is higher quality, w/e, you could still design something that looks the same and use an alternate material.

. Though I'm not convinced that's a bad thing. His views (while long winded) are pretty much spot on. There is no such thing as social responsibility and everyone should have the absolute freedom to do anything that isn't directly hurting someone, destroying someone's property, or forcing someone to do something they don't want to do.As for the car, the styling is fine on it IMO, I just have 0 interest in owning luxury cars, especially an american made one. |

you are right, I have not seen this one in person, just about half a million pictures, from every concievable angle. I combined that with near 40years of car knowledge and GM historical crap and came to the conclusion that I do not like the interior, nor the horrible color shown in the pics.
So my opinion is my opinion and I base it on what I know to be true. I think the car is a miss match of design cues stolen from other cars and the interior lay out is horrible. Seeing in person will only cement these things. |

I'm not a GM fanboy......I do work for them and I have seen/been in both cars in person and when something on the Corvette looks like carbon fiber or aluminum it is because IT IS carbon fiber or aluminum. |

Well it is both. I think it looks like something my 4 year old would draw up, and the colors palatte is something on a NASCAR fan would like. Every corvette design I can recal has been flowing and fluid. This one is jaggest and has harsh lines with gimmicky add ons.
It is trying to hard to be cool, instead of just being cool. A great design does not need add ons and cliches to be great. A great design can stand on its own. I think this new vette is trying so hard to copy every other super car out there that it is forgetting that is good enough to set trends, not follow them. Still it will sell well. The dash as electorfied as it is, I think is remarkable for a car in this price range. |
