Default Dyno tune or accessport?

Hey guys I just got my first subie.. Last owner replaced turbo injectors and added some others things.. He told me its running a little crappy because it needs a tune.... I'm not using the car now it's parked.. So in the meantime I been doing a little research and need advise from you guys..

Should I pay 450-600 dollar for a one time dyno tune.. Or pay 600 for a Cobb accessport and be always allowed to add maps and stuff..

I'm new with all this so not sure what to do and what's best.. Please help need some advice.

Thanks guys!

Both. You can have a custom dyno tune loaded onto the AccessPORT

ask the closest tuner to you what they tune on. Then do what they suggest.

Id say get the accessport for sure. U can get a used UN-MARRIED one here for $300-$450. Make sure its unmarried or else it wont work on your vehicle. Depending on your mods, u can run the regular ots (off the shelf) maps, and once u start going bigger, and the ots maps wont suffice, u get a custom tune. The tuner will be able to store multiple maps unto the accessport, in which u can toggle and pick the one u feel is suitable.

$4-600 is really high for a basic tune. Even at $100/ hr. A good tuner should get you square away in a few hours. You should get an Accessport either way though, but remember an Accessport is not a fix for a car that needs a tune.
