97 accord with terrible after market tail lights, a rusted CAI, broken exhaust, smashed hood, missmatched head lights, no stereo, essentially no clutch, and some beautiful black/green paint on the body and in the interior lol

gotta start snapping pictures of some jems on the road. On a business trip in Puerto Rico I saw some real interesting things on 4 wheels. Saw a guy pushing his broken down car by a toll plaza , stop pay the toll and kept on pushing

crappiest in doing its duty of being a vehicle that actually got me somewhere:
2001 Audi S4 I got for $3700. It broke about every 2 weeks, and was getting worked on for over half the time I owned it (literally owned it for ~6months, drove it for about 1.5)

crappiest as in old, and *****ty, but still managed to get me places:
1992 F-150 2wd. Took it off of jumps, and beat the ***** out of it, but it ran decent except for 1 hydraulic fluid problem with the clutch. Would have been driving it longer if it didn't need thousands of $ worth of work to make it road legal (body mounts, exhaust, etc) picked it up for $500 and sold it for $450 a year later uninspectable.

Crappiest vehicle for me was a $300 1992 green ford Taurus SHO 5MTX. I had it in the winter, the PO had studded tires In the front but not the back so randomly the ass end would come around in a turn. It got plowed and jumped into a few snow berms. The shifter linkage somehow got pulled out of the transmission one day and the only gears I could hit were 1st and 5th, made for an interesting drive home.

I had a maroon 93 Altima for a first car. It had poorly done gold spray painted wheels, and the paint faded to a near purple. If it sat in the rain I would find a puddle under the pedals. The gas pedal broke, used a self tapping screw to keep it on. When it started to come loose, put in a bigger screw. It often wouldn't shift into the approptiate gear unless I popped it into neutral and revved it. Before I got rid of it with 170k on the clock, the exhaust snapped in half on a poorly paved Western Ma road.

Much love for this thread... as this question comes up at pretty much every guy gathering I have been around ever in my life.

16 Years old . 1972 Ford Maverick. Baby power blue. Cracked windshield. No gas tank cap. No seat belts. No power steering. Had to fill radiator with water every stop. Cost me $150 but was worth it for the first peace of fine tail I ever had.. Ahh the good Ol' days.

1996 chevy blazer. I was 16 and needed a car to learn how to drive in (parents wouldnt let me use theirs). It was $1500, white, red painted steelies (I painted them black lol), the interior was filthy (the thing was used for a landscaping business), it reeked of cigarettes, its stuttered shifting into each gear, had a huge exhaust leak and got 12 mpg. It had 4WD though! But it only worked sometimes... lol.

I was sitting at a stop sign, a guy crashed into the front of me and totaled it. Insurance sent me a check for $3600, I made such a nice profit haha! With that and some money I had saved up, I bought myself a 2002 Lexus IS300 at age 17

never had a problem with reliability or things with any of my cars *knock on wood*, but least favorite car would probably be my first, 1996 chevy blazer. Nice little suv, wasnt good on gas with my driving style, all around it was a good vehicle though..

worst for problems was probably my 240sx, parasitic drain, had to start it each day..but other than that she was a gem. Ive had a few jeeps before and my last one the doors leaked when it rained but floor was rhino lined and the rust hole in the passenger floor was a good drain so i didnt really consider it a problem..

99 Ford Taurus wagon. Hand me down car from my parents that I beat the snot out of for a good 4 years until I passed it on to my brother. We junked it when the body started to split in half. Problems with the car:

-Radio stopped working. Used a walkman CD player and computer speakers for music.
-Windows could only be controlled by driver's door. Window lock button probably stuck internally.
-Rear seatbelts jammed in fully retracted position.
-Rear door handles would stick open and the doors would not latch. Combine this with the above seatbelt issue and you get people nearly flying out of the car around corners on a few occasions.
-Parking brake would seize on if used. Disconnected cable to prevent this occuring.
-Put new labels on climate control heat knob saying "cold" and "less cold". Windshield defrost/defog was almost completely useless.
-Trunk struts were only strong enough to hold the tailgate open for an indeterminate short amount of time. After this they would suddenly fail with no warning. Tailgate weighed at least 70 lbs and despite the rust felt very solid when it landed on your back.
-Floor had circles painted to show "safe zones" for feet. Excessive pressure in non-safe zones would result in Fred Flintstone driving.
-Fuel tank started leaking around the weld if filled more than half way. I actually fixed this one.

Despite all this the old beast never once let me down. It would start flawlessly on -45 mornings in January without a block heater and was somehow able to haul itself through any amount of snow even without proper tires. It never really had any maintenance work (oil changes were sort of an annual thing. Maybe.). Never failed an emissions test. Survived my brother sending it into a 7 foot deep ditch, minus a tire. I do miss the old wagon on occasion. Had more sex in the back of that thing than in my bed when I was 17.

I had a 93 Taurus wagon and I swear you just told my cars story. This car was legendary where I grew up. It was always known for good times and trouble lol. I jumped it off of small hills. Ran into stuff. Car was fueled by illegal substances at times. Like you said plenty of room in the back....Beat it to death. Used it as a snowplow. It never once died on me. I handed it on to a good friend that really needed a car around 180k miles. Was still going strong. It's probably at the bottom of the Atlantic now somewhere

First vehicle was a 1985 ford f150 pickup rust bucket 5 speed took about 30 seconds to get to highway speed and things just broke constantly. Ended up crunching the fender, got a new fender and picked up my subi and selling the truck now.

No air bags also wasn't the safest thing for a 16yr old

Technically my current daily driver is the crappiest car I've owned. A 2000 rs2.5. But if I had to choose I would say my first car was the crappiest(least satisfying) to me, it was a 2003 jetta 1.8t.

The first car I drove regularly (my parents' 2nd car) was a bright yellow automatic 1981 Ford Escort station wagon. That was worst. Car. Ever. I drove ~8 miles to school and every day had to stop at the gas station to fill the radiator because it overheated CONSTANTLY. lol On the bright side, that car made me hate automatics for life. Stupid thing took forever to "decide" what gear it wanted to be in. Forget it, I'll make that decision myself. And now I own a WRX.

(yes, this thread says "worst car you owned" but Ive liked all the cars Ive owned. They werent the greatest, but they served their purpose. And some were fun. )

97' Ford Taurus..

brakes blew out on me while i was slamming on them from some idiot who cut me off. 4 months after owning it the engine started smoking one day from an oil leak somewhere that i never bothered finding, called one of those junk auto places to come and get it for $150.
