![]() This year marks the 12th Annual 48hrs of Tristate Charity Drive. It started out with 5 cars driving all over the Tristate area on a 2 day weekend to spread their love of Subarus and raising money for families of the victims of 9/11. Since then it has evolved into a 3 day weekend, with an average of 50 cars driving about 1,000 miles and raising between $20-50k for charity. This year the group trip will kickoff Friday Jan 18 at Subaru's Road Race Team Headquarters located at Phoenix Performance, travel up to Burlington, VT and see Subaru's Rally Team Headquarters at Vermont Sports Car, then continue to our Awards Dinner at Dunham's Bay Resort in Lake George, NY and finally closing up at Steak and Stein in New Winsdor, NY. The participants come from all walks of life and drive all different Subarus, and some not even driving Subies! Not only can you participate in the trip and help us to raise money for The American Cancer Society but if you live too far or can't make it for the trip, you can donate as a Virtual Supporter as well. For more information check us out on Facebook and the web. http://facebook.com/48hrsoftristate and http://48hrs.info and follow our trip on Twitter @48hrsoftristate

So i live in upstate new york, and i am interested in signing up and coming out to show some support. I was looking at the route and it seems to me that we come up towards my neck of the woods while in Lake George but once we leave there we shoot back south toward southern new york for our final destination. My question is this, are there any rules or regs stating that i cant just leave once in lake george to head back home to watertown ny

Wish I lived in the area, I would love to raise money for a good cause.
I do believe you should reconsider who you are donating to though. The COO, Greg Bontrager gives himself a salary of $913,126 a year. I think if Greg actually cared, he wouldn't need that large of a salary, but that is just me. Maybe St. Jude is a better option. |
