Still nothing yet, but this had me thinking. What should I get next? With all these subarus getting stolen I think I want to stay away from them. I want to stay stick and preferably 4 doors, had a Legacy in the thought process but Im looking at 2007+ Lexus IS 250s. 6spd. Anyone has any suggestions?

i would personally think the Lexus would be just as much of a target to be honest.

I say another Scooby but if you are parking on the street with any hook up car you need protection if its a Subaru or not,so get it(Subaru) and head to AZP so mike can take care off that.

how so? I was also thinking of getting an IS 300, as I think I would be satisfied iwth that car stock, and hopefully it wouldnt be a target for thieves or vandals.

I would think not too many people would want them for parts.

there were alot of high end targeted thefts in the last two years in the union/essex county area. they targeted lexus, mercedes, cadillac etc. it was almost every night where they were going through cars in driveways and stealing stuff and then the car itself. just my opinion.

I had a 03 is300 and I was targeted several times. Some guy even tried to take my jdm tails but we caught him. You can't own anything nice. Anyway it was one of the best car I've ever owned. Sometimes regret selling it but insurance kept going up. They got some really good overall power, luxury, and super reliable. I had we'll over 190k...strong and it was 5spd smooth like butter.

Hmm I would think that the prev. gen of IS300s would be targets, thats why Im looking toward 2nd gen.
Legacy's hmmmmm what to do what to do lol
Well still nothing about the car, I kind of thought I would at least find it stripped somewhere but nothing... Just received claim papers from insurance yesterday, have to send those out asap

If you want to stay with turbo subarus, just get a first generation impreza and keep the exterior completely stock if you swap it. Thieves don't look twice at most pre-02 imprezas unless they're stupidly modded.

don't let them win. get the car you want! maybe just invest in upgraded security (plus insurance discounts)

frameless windows = easier to steal

This was posted a month ago, car is presumably long gone.
Closing the thread to avoid confusion.
