Default Just bought an '07 Outback

Just traded in my '02 WRX for a '07 Outback and obviously there are a few things I miss

I know I'm not going to get the speed back and I'm not looking for that (except little gains here and there). I'm really looking at everything but power. Front and rear sway bars with new end links and that kind of stuff. I just have no idea where to buy such things. Also what it is interchangeable with (i.e. 2002-2007 imprezas) other models. I know (or think I do) that an Outback is a Legacy pretty much, but with little tweaks.

What sort of advice does everybody have for me? Thanks!

Make sure your Outback has a turbo.

Haha, that it does not.

Sometimes I miss my NA 03 outback. mostly at the gas station.

(to be honest, I think that one handled better than my XT does, and I was able to drive it much more enthusiastically on a regular basis - lower output has its points)

As do 95% all vehicles.

'07 Outback owner here. (Long time lurker, first time poster.)

Ironically, I've been thinking about switching from the OBW to a WRX. But I do love my wagon and the fact that it's paid off.

You can find some info at subaruoutback.org regarding suspension parts that you can swap in. There's not a ton of info there, but if you dig you can find it.

Another option is to call a vendor, tell them what you have and what you want to accomplish. They could probably point you in the right direction.

Anyway, enjoy your outback! I sure have enjoyed mine since '07.

And by the way, it's my favorite body style of all the Outback generations. I think the 4th gens are too tall and bulky looking.

Laters.

Oh come on, who doesn't like wallowing in an alarming amount of body roll, or delightfully unexpected drastic changes in steering feedback? And don't forget getting to be the poster boy for Subaru's trademark full time, symmetrical understeer!

On the plus side, at least the back end breaks free first, the seats are great, and there's enough ground clearance to drive over small children - and look damn good doing it.

Hey thanks man! I think I did hit that forum up first, but one of the most common 'mods' I read about on there was people putting RainX on the windows or getting them tinted haha (both of which I did the first week I owned mine).
