I do :-).

ref: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...23&postcount=6

Checkout http://pahillclimb.net/ I've been racing with them for a while now really good group of folks to race with. Lots of non SCCA classes you can race in too :-)! Something for everything out there on four wheels. I have few vids on my U Tube id biknman of some of the PHA events. One is held in Western Maryland "Polish Hillclimb" closest to you along with two events at Summit Point on Jefferson Circuit.

From: http://biknman.shutterfly.com/8 my correct hillclimb S3 class race car

I am disparately trying to work a hillclimb event or two in this season. This is something I have always wanted to do. I will predominantly be running with NARRA in TT-3 and Nasa HPDE/acquiring tt license this season, but I would love to enter a hillclimb if there are any mid-atlantic based events.

Can you run any of these with out a caged car?

I thought you HAVE to have a cage too run in all of these events...

Yeah unfortunately anything sanctioned by SCCA (and I assume NASA) at that level is going to require a cage, and the other safety stuff like fire suit, helmet, now head and neck restraint, window nets, fire bottle, etc.

Not sure with the body that is running this event but NEHA allows non caged cars provided you remain under breakout. Again, check with the sanctioning body.

From PHA site: http://pahillclimb.net/drivers/driver-checklist/

Driver Checklist

Here is a short list of what you will need for yourself and your car before coming to an event. This list covers the major items, but every situation is a little different so it’s a good idea to join our forum and talk to some of our members after you decide you are interested. Technical Inspectors and drivers are a great resource and can help you avoid some of the mistakes they have seen (and made) over the years.

Licensing

To get started we’ll need you to fill out a little paperwork and join our club. It’s possible to this at your first event but you’ll be busy enough so it’s much better to take care of this ahead of time. Memberships and Drivers Licenses will no longer be re-newed at an event, First time novices Only.

Valid State Drivers License
SCCA Membership
Getting Started
SCCA Time Trials Novice License
Application
Driver Safety Equipment

This is the minimum amount of personal safety equipment you will need in order to compete. Keep in mind this is a dangerous sport and safety gear is not a smart place to save money.

Helmet
Balaclava (if you have facial hair)
Fire Suit
Nomex Socks
Leather (or fireproof) Shoes
Gloves
Car Preparation

Again these are the minimum preparations needed. Check the requirements for your specific class and please take the time to talk to our technical advisors. They can save you some time and guide you through what you need.

Roll bar or roll cage
5 or 6 Point Seat Belts
Arm Restraints or Window Net
Fire Extinguisher or Fire System
Driver Technical Inspection Sheet
Computer Friendly Driver Technical Sheet

Various classes require only a roll bar. 2 years ago, FTD at Duryea was set by an Evo X with only a bar, no cage. Totally depends on the class.
