Default strange high pitch sound, Help?

I have a 2007 subaru wrx with 87,000 miles in it. After a long drive across my state I parked it and turned off the car. There is a high pitched whistling or beep coming from the engine bay, it sounds like that annoying mosquito sound or that ringing in your ear after a loud concert. It's been 10 minutes and its still going on. Key is not in ignition

No strange smells, no smoke, engine temperature was fine, no obvious signs of something broken.
