i combined 2 wrx splitters, aluminum bits from lowes weather stripping and a garage door seal into a sti tmic sized splitter. mine has a mid splitter vane and i also sealed all seams with black atv. also used foam to seal splitter against hood scoop top and sides. one problem was tmic was not parallel to hood...solved that with different sizes of gasket materials.
enjoyed the challenge and made a nice piece.

The horizontal line between the left and right arrows is the actual splitter for the top and bottom. Since it's an STI, as far as I've seen, they have one center support to brace the horizontal split. Unless that's only on the 04/05 splitters because of the taller scoop, then that's my mistake. Ignore center arrow.
Parts I was trying to highlight: ![]() Looking now, the center yellow arrow would have been above the scoop, so move it up a bit/ignore it. |
