Default Lightweight flywheel, 16bit looking to tune throttle return

On my EJ207, with a 5 speed and Sti chromoloy 5 speed lightweight flywheel, I get sometimes a sharp drop when releasing the throttle, to where it almost stalls.
I've replaced the IACV and I've read about rising the idle by 1-200 RPM.

I've also read on other cars something about torque demand (for 32bit) and increasing that in cells close to idle and a more general statement about bringing fuel back in earlier.

Is this done for the 16bit by the load compensation table?

Your issue can be easily fixed by raising the injector cut on rpm value. Iirc the stock value cuts injectors back on after throttle lift at 900 rpm. Raise that value to around 1500 rpm and. The ecu will be able to catch the idle as injectors cutting on earlier will slow rpm drop.

Its decel fuel cut. It may not be defined in your rom. Pm me the rom on romraider or email it to me and I will either modify the value for you or get a def file made so you can modify the value yourself.

wait, does this mean you can run lightweight flywheel fine after this ROM patch?

No, there are other tables that may need adjusting besides decel fuel cut. Idle timing above speed threshold may need adjusting. Idle error vs rpm timing may need adjusting. Some roms don't even have these tables defined in open source. Make a request over on romraider and someone may provide you with a def for your particular rom.

Can I ask you to look into the checkbox in the rom, for WGDC over 95%?

I do have a request in romraider for this, for over 2 years now, I think.

Alternately, I will write you back, from my email address, maybe there is a way to be part of this engineering process, to add tables and develop the rom.
And my rom does not have these other tables either.
I looked at new definitions the other day.
Although there is a new version of romraider, there has been sometime now, since a new set of definitions have been issued and most work that I can tell is happening in the experimental section.
But those don't get issued as a set and it's difficult to keep track of progress and newly discovered items.
Thanks again for the help.

Do any 16 bit ROMs have this RPM above X and TPS = 0 fuel cut table defined?

I've checked Carberry, my stock 2002 MT WRX ROM, my friend's 2004 MT WRX ROM and my stock JDM ver8 ROM and none of them have this defined that I can find.

I have the streetlite flywheel on my 2007 as well. I'm not seeing these tables anywhere. Can anyone help with my tune as well?

I have a Ej205 so this may not apply to you. When I cleaned my IACV I fiddled with the orientation of the stepper motor on the valve. Basically adjusting how much that valve is open at it's resting position. At first adjustment I had the same problem as you described. Rpm's would fall fast and would shut the car off.

Then I turned the motor ever so slightly so the valve is a bit more open in it's resting position and it cured my stalling issue. Rpms fall fast but the ECU or the Iacv "catches" it before it stalls.

Just offering this as something you can try. My Ecu tuning knowledge is nonexistent.

Edit: FYI I have a ACT 12lb fly and a light crank pulley
