Hey guys,
I found a Borla Exhaust for my LGT thats not to far away and a steal of a price. There is one problem, the exhaust hanger ripped off the y-pipe and left a tiny hole in the exhaust. How would you guys go about fixing this? I see there is universal weld-on hangers online but have no clue which ones would fit my stock rubber exhaust hangers and not to sure that will fix the hole in the exhaust. Here is a picture of the damage: ![]()

You can get the hole filled with weld if you're careful. Don't want too much material to protrude into the pipe.
As for the hangar, measure the diameter of the other hangars on the exhaust and find some round bar stock the same size. If you're worried about the bushing popping off the hangar you can weld a few beads around the end of the hangar to replicate what most pre-made hangars look like. Also, you can make the length of the hangar attached to the pipe longer for added strength. This is what I did for mine and it seems to be holding up to abuse pretty well ![]() |
