My car did ~435 whp on a mustang dyno on an unfinished tune. It also trapped nearly 130 mph in the 1/4 which. For reference a C6 Z06 Corvette generally traps low to mid 120s in stock form.

This was my assumption and it is generally a pretty safe one. If you spend any significant time around a car you know the common paths to take and on turbo cars turbos are one of the most commonly discussed parts.

It definitely is to ask questions, it is just that it is not a good use of people's time to re-cover the same topics over and over again. So you end up with some people that are willing to help as they have not helped on that topic before and many more that have been through the topic ad nauseum and get frustrated. It goes both ways though, some people (I am not saying it is right or wrong, just that it is) consider it equally rude to ignore the wealth of information in search and just re-ask the same question.

Step 2 of helping you is helping you find the parts/tuning combo to get to your goal. Step 1 is figuring out your real goal and determining if you will survive it or can afford it.

Realistically, here is what you are in for if you want a legit 400 whp lasting ej205 car and some off the top of my head pricing. I still say you should do a stroker, the same power relative to your displacement goes down which means stress goes down which means the engine gets worked less which means it _can_ (but not automatically will) last longer. I will assume you already have a turboback exhaust
Engine:
Pistons - $550
Rods - $500
Bearings - $150
Machine work - $750 (moves around depending on what is needed)
Gasket kit - $250
Head cleaning/surfacing - $300 (just a wild guess)
Small cam upgrade - $200-800
Build labor - $2500

Power stuff:
Turbo - $1000-4000 depending on model and rotated or stock location, for a real 400whp on 93 octane you will want 50+ lb/min which means a GT3076R, HTA Green, Red, GTX3076R, Dom 2.0+. The larger the turbo/setup the less hard you have to work the car to make your 400whp which means things _can_ (but won't automatically) last longer
Injectors - $500 get ID1000s, no point in getting really anything else
Fuel pump - $100-150 depending on what you get
TGV deletes - $200-300
Intercooler - $700-1500 depending on top mount vs front mount
Inlet - $200
Intake - $200
Exhaust manifold - $500-1200 (some rotated kits come with this)
3.5 bar map sensor - $200 you are going to need to run probably 22+ psi on most of these turbos to do this on a 2.0 so you want the ability to have over boost protection
Gauges - $1000 don't put all this into a car only to have nothing help you know the car is running right
Radiator - $500 a bigger issue with a FMIC but good insurance regardless
Tuning - $200-$2000 depending on engine management and costs for your tuner

Drivetrain: your 5 speed isn't going to take this very long
6 speed swap $3000-5000 depending on trans, hubs, brembos.. etc
Clutch $1200 - Good clutch and flywheel combo to hold the power
Labor - $1000

Edit: Wheels/tires
Decent combo will probably run you $1500+. Your stock tires will do nearly nothing at this power level.

Grand total for a legit, real world, reliable 400whp 93 octane setup on a WRX with only a turboback exhaust: $14,800 - $23,850 (plus wheels, tires, suspension, and whatever else you end up doing) depending on exactly what route you want to go. I am not joking about this and this could be on the low side if you want everything done right and I am probably guessing low on labor. You can do this cheaper with ebay stuff but as soon as you start looking at parts from ebay just assume you are going to lose 75% of your reliability as you just made the decision to do this cheaply instead of reliably. Power, longevity/reliability, cost; pick two.

Short answer for your question - the turbos that will do what you want are GTX3076, GT3076, FP HTA Green, FP Red, Dom 2.0+, a bunch of Borg Warners, and about 100 others. The more the turbo is rated to flow the easier (and likely longer) time your car will have making 400 whp but at the cost of lag. Edit: The Mitsubishi turbos (16G, 18G, 20G) will typically not make that much even on heavy gas and definitely not on 93 octane.
