Default Questions regarding spun rod if I'm posting in wrong spot let me know

So heres the story I have an 04 wrx i bought it from a "dealer" here in az called xclusive motorsports when I bought the car I was told it had a fully rebuilt motor because it spun a rod bearing so I drove it for a total of five days took it really easy on the car it never saw wot or anything over 3500 rpms I changed the oil at 500 miles and around 700 miles i took it to 4500 rpms it wasn't in full boost but In between 3rd and 4th it spun a rod again now I'm stuck making payments on this car I can't drive and the guy i got it from basically told me to **** myself so now my question is I'm getting a good used motor minus the intake mani exhaust mani turbo oil pan and pickup and any other various accessories (reason is the guy is using it all for his 2.5 swap) so what parts should I really look into replacing I won't need to replace the oil cooler I don't want to replace the turbo what's the best way to thoroughly clean it? And what various oil passages should I be looking for to clean please let me know I couldn't really find any in depth answers when searcjing

The turbo shouldn't have anything big in it, dump some atf in it and blow it out with air a couple of times. Take the pan and pickup to a engine rebuilder and have it hot tanked. I would also put an 05 sti oil pump on the new engine and that should help with the oiling problems.

Only if the turbo is dumping oil. Any part you are reusing that oil passes through should be cleaned. No oil flows throught the intake or ic.

Dude i bought a car from him as well, I drove the car for less than three weeks and the car broke down with the same problem as you. He basically told me the same stuff and now i have to rebuild the engine. I know we aren't the only guys he has screwed over, I don't know how he is still in business. My poor WRX is just sitting on my drive way while i get the money to fix it, I've had the car for 5 months and only driven it for less than three weeks
