Yeah. It doesn't seem like it would restrict the air bag. I was just thinking cause that thing deploys in nano seconds lol

its not paint. its rubber coating. it is durable and they make it different colors. it is very user friendly. it peels off when it dries if you pull on a corner for a little bit. Google the plasti dip website and you can get more details. Check out earlier entries of this thread to see what people have plasti dipped already.

DipYourCar.com forums and the Dip Your Car YouTube page is super informative about dipping cars!

Not at all, the person who mentioned primer is confused about the product. Just clean the part of dirt and oils and spray it. If you don't like it peel it off and you'll be left with the original finish unharmed.

Has anyone done a good deep bronze with various base + metalyzers?

I've found some pics, and they are all lighter than i'm looking for, or too coppery. I'm thinking a black base with a few thin coats of copper metalyzer on top might do the trick (most seem to use a lighter base, like gray)

Did this to my winter wheels. They definitely attract a lot of attention.

Took 3 cans of white (after wasting a half can trying to spray when things were too cold), 2.5 cans of blaze yellow, and half a can of glossifier.

Question. Is it possible to plastidip headlight housings? Has anyone done it? Would heat from the hids cause any problems?

Just other drivers, luckily. I catch a lot of people looking and smiling.

So far I haven't managed to get any tickets with this car. The cops around here seem to be pretty good about leaving people alone unless they deserve it.

On my to-do list. But let me put it to you this way, if PD can withstand the heat of an exhaust tip, it can withstand the heat from a headlight bulb.
