Default RomRaider won't read ECU

I've read everything I can find on any related sites as well as all the FAQs on EcuFlash and RomRaider and can't seem to figure out my isseu.

I'll try not to leave anything out.

I downloaded EcuFlash and RomRaider 2 weeks ago, Read all the info on both sites, read up on all the "getting started" stuff and all the how to I could find. Got the new DEF files then (Before I got my Tactrix) loaded them into the manager and made sure everything was working "As much as it could without being hooked to the car".

I got my Tactrix today, Pluged it into my laptop (Win7) and allowed it to install the device. I see the Tactrix in device manager (COMM4). After that I got the latest DEF files (95) unzipped them opened RomRaider from C: went to the manager, Removed the old and added the new files. I plug the Tactrix into the OBDll plug and hit connect and it reads "Unable to send ECU init" I tried other usb ports (Tactrix still read COMM4), I tried it with and without the Green test mode plug connected. I tried connecting the cable to the car then the laptop, laptop then car and every way I could with no change. I was able to "read from ECU" With EcuFlash but it will not connect to RomRaider

I'm hoping that I am just over thinking the whole process and missing something simple but I'm asking for help "Someone point it out to me plz"

Thank you in advance, I know its a bit of a novel for a small issue and I appreciate your time

You need to have the logger definitions as well installed and tell Romraider where they are. Download Learning View from Romraiders site to verify there is not a cable issue. 99% of the time it is user error. If you have Vista or 7 I hope you installed the programs as instructed in the FAQ's you read.

I have problem reading ecuflash but I can access data from learning view and romraider logger.

my ecu info(learning view) :

when I try to read rom I got interface closed

when I try to pull with 2001/2002 non USDM I get interface close directly
but when I try STI 2004 I get some readings but it stopes

The 16 bit ECU's require more than just connecting the diagnostic connectors. They require a "flash block". Another jumper. They are on Tactrix's website. You can also make one with. A piece of wire and some spade connectors.
