I love the idea of the 16+ 18gxtr turbos. If push came to shove and you ever got an sti they would be a great match. Throw the vf48 on the wrx and sell and still fun car. I tried to weigh all options haha.

To be clear, corrected numbers account for weather conditions. I still find 18G's to really be underwhelming. Lacks the punch of the 16G and the top end of a 20G. Instead you get something middle of the road.

I think the 16gxtr would be pretty tough to beat. Plus, won't be as hard in your engine as something larger.

OK blazerex what would you recommended I still have that 16xtr in the back of my head but seeing unabombers graph kinda pissed me off. It peaked at 4700. I know I could get better results with a tmic bit I already have a fmic

I may have come off a bit harsh. An 18G is okay, its not a horrid turbo, just not my taste. I like top end power, so a 20G would be my choice. I would say the 16GXTR is nice, I wouldnt go with the spool seen on the dynapack. It'll be a little quicker that on the street. Like I said before. For spool go with a 16G, for power go 20G. The 68HTA 8cm was also a great turbo for these, but good luck getting one.

In the end though, its all what you want and would like, and maybe the 18G is the right choice.

Yes they stopped making the HTA68.

Ill give you my experience. I have....

HTA68 8cm
FMIC
38mm EWG
AP UEL Headers
1000cc id's
Full Exhaust

Im hitting full boost 22psi at 3800-4000rpm and holding until 7k

I also airboyed 342whp..... so i figured on a mustang dyno 320-330whp

BTW are you interested in buying my HTA68??? Has only 8k on it....
