Question Coilovers! How are yours holding up with snow/salt?

Hey all,

I'm in the market for coilovers as I'm fairly certain a spring/strut setup isn't for me. So far the greatest difficulty I've encountered is which will hold up to the elements best/reasonably? I live in the Chicago suburbs where the roads for the most part are decent but their a little salt happy.

Now I'm not looking to get the most expensive set as I dont ever track or autox, heck I don't even drive the car all that spiritedly (just want/need a stiffer ride to reduce dive ect and for my wheel setup). However if theres a coilover that has a better weather resistance track record Id gladly consider it within reason.

This factor is most important as I don't want to have to swap out suspension bits and realign every winter/spring (although alignment will be necessary with winter wheels admittedly). I know most of you are thinking why would I even bother with coilovers then. But thats not what I'm looking for help on.

So any of you with coilovers - I'd really appreciate your input. This is my first time ever doing anything suspension related to my car and I'm hoping afterwards maybe I'll want to actually drive my car like it was intended to be driven.

My car is a 2011 WRX but if any of you guys have models of coilovers in production for my year on an earlier model let me know. Or even if you've had a great experience with a company (rebuilding, warranty, so on and so forth).

Thanks guys, hopefully this wilk benefit others as well! Commence discussion!
