I don't know of one, but why are you going back to top mount and all? You still selling the car or what?

I'm keeping it. I'm doing it for several reasons mainly for performance and I want my fog lights back.

So last tank of gas I averaged about 23mpg and now on this one I'm averaging about 28mpg. It could be a little better to because I need to replace some of the old sensors and coil packs but I plan on adding and changing some stuff so I can get around 35mpg.

yoo, so I finally started ordering parts to get my Subaru out of the garage. Picked up a set of ported, polished, filled and heat coated TGV deletes. Gonna remove the olds and install these with some 8cm spacers. I also ordered a new timing belt kit.

Anybody here have experience doing the timing belt? Found a really nice tutorial on youtube, but would like help from someone who has done it. I ask baring gifts of pizza, beer, cigs and green gold - or whatever it is you like!

So, has anybody done it or want to learn / help / advise me?

Pretty right....

I have experience with the timing belt but the last time around I had Rev Works do it. Having the timing gear holder would make it a lot easier.

Yeah, I talked to rev works about it. If I was interested in paying I'd take it to them for sure, but I'd rather do it myself. Especially since we got have two Subarus the savings had by doing it at home is pretty significant. I know of the tool you're talking about and would consider buying it if required.

It helps holding the passenger side pulleys in place while you route the belt. The first time I did my belt I didn't have that tool and ended up costing more time to make sure everything was in proper alignment.

Chang - here is a link to one of the tools. Do you think this would do the job? I've also seen a lot of home made ones. I'll have to see what I have around the house.

That's a different one from the one I'm refering to. I think import image racing sells the one I speak of for holding the cams in place.
