Default 98 RS with 02 WRX motor going to 06 LGT drivetrain

I spun a rod bearing finally on my 02 WRX swap in my RS, had 85k of HARD miles on the car so I wasnt surprised when it happened! But now, I have access to a complete LGT sedan so I can swap the entire drivetrain into my car, I previously ran the 2.0l motor with my RS trans on it! Loved the short gearing for the stock turbo setup but once I put the 20g on it, it was a bit short at the track and I was hitting 5th gear! This is a great opportunity to get a 2.5l and the drivetrain swap that will help at the strip.

So my question is this:

Are the 02 2.0l wiring harness and the LGT harnesses the same at the ECU side? My thoughts were that I could leave the bulkhead harness in the car, swap the ECU and the motor harness sections and add the ACVS wires to the bulkhead connector so it all works correctly. Is this possible or should I just bite the bullet and swap the complete harness yet again?

I appreciate any input!

I decided Im going to throw the long block in, swap my TGV housing/intake/TB etc over to it and do the cam sensor mod. Then run it on the 02 ECU for now without the ACVS hooked up. Im going to take the harness, ECU, pedal assembly and all from the donor car tho and keep it for a later time. I run the GroupN ROM on my car now and like the 2 step and some other features it gives me. So unless its really doggy without the ACVS Ill prolly never swap the other crap.

Thanks for the help!
