Default MadDad Whisper WRX/STi Sedan-Finally

We've had so many requests to make this exhaust I'm embarrased it has taken so long to get to this stage. We're not done yet, but boy are we close. I have the exhaust you see here in my posession but we still need to road test it in a variety of ways. We've made it modular..meaning the axleback sections can bolt on to the factory midpipe. The axleback flange openings are larger than the factory but the bolt hole orientation is the same and they can mount up without any worry of any leaks. Likewise with the midpipe, it could be used with the factory axleback sections. We think you'll love the look of the tips. The last Whisper series exhaust we made went through 3 different tip iterations over the past 3 years. Not this time around. These look aggressive enough but in an adult way, which is keeping with the theme of the Whisper series.

WE NEED A CUSTOMER IN THE MA./NH./RI. areas for testing. Actually you could be from anywhere but we will need you and your car for the better part of a Saturday so we can test the sound character of this exhaust in a variety of setups...axlebacks only, catback with OEM DP, and then finally full turboback, so it will take some time and we'd like to get it all done in a single day. Installing and testing will be done at Synergy Auto Lab in Manchester, NH. Please email: daddy@daddysscp.com if you have interest. For your time you'll get a sweet deal on the final production exhaust.

Since this is not a for sale forum please do not ask about pricing here. You can hit our facebook page or our website by weeks end. We'll be posting a pre-order shortly.

This is still pre-production and you can see that clearly in the intermediate pipe. This test pipe has a donut gasket flange. Production will only be with a 3" flange and flex joint in the intermediate pipe. We have a new adapter being released that will allow you to use a 3" catback with a 2.5" donut gasket downpipe for those that will need to mate this to an OEM or Cobb DP, or any other that uses the 2.5" donut gasket.

Hey Rich, I've been checking the website and Facebook religiously. I'm definitely waiting for the 2011+ sedan whisper exhaust, do you have any updates? I didn't miss the pre-order did I?

Sorry about the absence of any updates recently. On the plus side the 2nd pre-production, while late to arrive, did finally arrive at our door earlier this week. We have to line up our text car/customer again and validate we've got the tone refined. Logistically this might take a week or two. I'll be an optimist and say so long as this second pre-production dials in the sounds as we hope, we could have production units next month.

Rich

Hi guys,

I'm having trouble finding someone local (Leominster, MA.) for our 2nd round of testing. If your are in the MA. NH. RI. - heck if you are anywhere and don't mind heading to the Leominster, MA. area to lend a hand please email me at: daddy@daddysscp.com . We will do the install either at ESP in Sterling MA. or Synergy Auto Lab in Manchester NH. depending on where you are coming in from and shop schedules. I'm just as anxious as all of your to get this exhaust done and to market. Thanks.

Rich

That's a long drive from DC, but I totally would be there ASAP if I was closer.

Now, if you feel like shipping and need me to install a prototype and take some detailed videos / sound clips / fitment pics for you, perhaps do a write-up, I'm more than happy to volunteer.

I still miss my Whisper Tip so badly from the 2005 Saabaru I sold... want to do whatever I can to help get this product to market ASAP, and tell more of the world about your fine products.

Best,
Adam

Hey guys,

Still looking for someone in the local MA/NH/RI area that can help us out with another sound check for this 2nd pre-production unit. I'm going to cross post to the regional forum tonight to hopefully get a car. I do have one customer that reached out(thank you) that is a good 3 hour drive. I'd like to save him from that but if I can't find someone closer we'll reach out to him. I will post some more pics as quested this weekend..although they will be of an uninstalled unit.

Hi Rich,

Good idea to post in the regional forum. Maybe also drop a post on Subaruforester.org? Those of us with 2009-2013 Forester XT's are aching to try this.

Good luck, can't wait.

Thanks,
Adm
