Looks awesome! I did the exact thing with my headlights/tail lights except black with red rings, just curious, was it as much of a pain for you as it was for me to do the rings?

They're quite a bit brighter. However now I'm having trouble with condensation on the inside of the housing. I think they might be sealed improperly or I need some anti fogging spray. Anyone having the same problem?
I am interested as to how these look at night in reverse, on brake, and running. Mind posting some pics? (sorry for questioning on such an old post)

How about pics of how they look on your car? So far they look like you did a bang up job!

What is the purpose of the clear reflector in the read section? Has anyone tried leaving leaving it out?

You mean the red on the top as in the brake/parking light section?

There is a small ~1" tall clear reflector sitting behing the red piece. There was a pic somewhere in the thread showing it but if you look at 05suby's pics above, its the strip that delineates the red from what would be clear. Basically its the strip at the bottom of the red part.

I think I know what your talking about. I think it's to see the car at night when it's parked somewhere, when I come up the road to my house I can see my tail lights reflector strip all the way from the end of the road

Thanks for quoting this one, I've been looking to do something similar but missed it the first time around. I have a wagon but I want something similar to the 04/05 sedan tails. This looks pretty close, but instead of painting the bottom black I would paint the outside of the lens red on the lower half.

Here's a bump to an old post... had my first rain after install today, and no fog! Fingers crossed this continues..... I took it one step further than most i've seen on here and tinted the red/clear lense... Also, I cut mine in the fashion that "catbacksubie" from page 11 did..just straight across....was a bit hard to seperate the pieces but I feel much more easy to cut..
