But let's be honest, you've dismissed a lot of cars solely because they didn't have a manual transmission while not rating the car on its merits or even mentioning them.

And these weren't even intended to be purist cars either meant for ripping through canyons or tracks, but apparently they were supposed to have manuals available.

Sorry for going off-topic. SCRAPPYDO -- hopefully no hard feelings. It was just a joke.

Anyway, I actually did get inside one of these two Sundays ago. I didn't get to drive it, but it's a pretty amazing car, especially with the weather we've been having in SoCal.

Well I am a deeply flawed individual, and I regret not taking your post with the satire you meant from it. For that I owe you an appology.

but you have to admit how I found a way to bash CNN was funny

Okay may not, but I chuckled.

Also, your ability to recall posts and hold them against me is notable.
How dare you hold my Own words against me!

But the secret to being a great automotive review is to give things beyond the facts. Everybody can read about how much HP and torque and gears a car has. People can get the facts in every other review, I would like to believe that I offer something different.

Yeah, it was pretty much word for word, haha. Have you been in one of these yet? Like I said, I got a chance to a couple weekends ago. Surprisingly cool owner.

I have stood beside a 458 italia and drooled excessively. I have also watched TG:UK while one was being driven and sat very close to the TV with the volume way up, but I am sure that does not count.

I heard one from several pumps away at the gas station that time and was drawn to it immediately, though my girlfriend wasn't thrilled about having to wait in her car until we were done. I made sure to get pics in it though. It's not quite an LFA in terms of sound but it's really good in person, especially with the top down... now that I think about it, it's the only way I've ever heard them from inside (last ride was in an F430 16M Scuderia a few years ago).

My mental image of you as a rough, long-haired, grizzled cowboy is ruined, Scrappy.. This is a sad day.

Mmm, very sexy car indeed. Ferrari did a great job with this thing. Aside from the 550/575 I pretty much stopped liking the looks of production Ferraris after the F355. The 458 has started to bring my affection back.
