I am in the process of getting a e tune from Stephen Clark.
I was looking at doing my own tune and decided aginest it. Lots to learn and read. I am glad to my mods list is alot longer. It was way easier to let someone else do it with some experance. My car is running like a champ. I am sure u can find some one on here to get ya going in the right direction.
hears the guys I am getting tuned through

Buy a tactrix cable then download romraider and ecuflash onto a laptop or netbook.

Start by reading here:

Read this: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1410201
and this:
https://sites.google.com/site/asubie...gguide/ver-1-0

It is not for the fainthearted but as long as you are willing to do your homework and make small changes to your map at a time you can do it.

The other alternative is to buy an AP and use Cobbs ATR software but it still requires a laptop.

The title of your thread states "base map". You can get a stock map at romraider forums too.

Read page 34 of that Guide. The very first step it has listed for tuning timing from scratch.

" 1) Make sure you have your conservative timing map loaded. We pulled 4 last time from the base map. "

Base map would be the OEM ROM. Lots and lots of reading and reading comprehension involved with this. Some good books.
