Default Where to buy noltec camber/caster plates?

I can't seem to find them anywhere. Performance shock had them for around $100-$150, but they appear to be gone now.

Anyone have a lead on these or a similar design for a reasonable price?

They were cheap because Noltec is gone/doesn't make them anymore. There's no more to be had and as far as I know, no one really makes something similar.

They are on eBay, but they are an on-again, off-again type of item. You'll see a bunch of sets show up for a couple months. Then you'll see it completely void of any for a month or two. It's weird. However, eBay is the only place they show up, so that's the only place you can look for them. If you can exercise patience, there will be more up later.

I looked at this. They're a weird-assed non-standard bearing size. I managed to find one company in China that lists that size (obviously where the Noltec bearings came from). Minimum buy was something like 100,000 bearings and I get 5 bearing-spam emails a day from china now.

I may be interested, I'd have to look into the bearing thing a bit.

Williaty, do you have any info on the particular size?

No, I measured it almost two years ago now. All I remember was that it was a modified version of a dash 12 sized bearing that had an unusual OD and thickness.

Gotcha, well thanks for the info so far. If it was a simple matter of turning the outer housing of the bearing down on a lathe I wouldn't have much trouble getting that done. Any idea if it would be possible?

Maybe I'll have to look into some other camber plates, but these seemed like by far the best option for maximum camber and caster in one piece.

I remember that I thought about having the outer race turned down and there was some reason that I didn't think it'd work. I don't remember if the race ended up too thin or what.

If you have access to metalworking equipment, your actual best option would be to buy the GTWorx plates and then "copy" the top plate except place the sliding grooves for the carrier farther aft in the plate. So your camber adjustment would be just like the GTWorx plates themselves but you'd get extra caster from placing the carrier farther aft in the plate.

Interesting thought. I have friends with access to machinery, but I don't have the skill to use any of it. So I don't think I could ask any of them to machine me something that complex during their down time at work.

Are there any other options for affordable camber plates or were the noltecs really it? There are some super cheap plates on ebay, some even appear to be noltec-esque in design. Are these simply a bad idea?

Yeah, there's several details of a camber plate that are difficult to get right. I'd be HUGELY suspicious of anything under $300 and $400 is a more realistic price point.

If anyone cares, I have a set of NOLTEC Camber Caster plates and have found a replacement bearing at www.vbx.com GE20ES-2RS is the part number.
20mm x30mm x 16mm are the dimensions that I used.

Good info. I may have to order some preemptively, I like these camber plates a lot so it would be good to have spares.
