Going from Marlton to Vineland, I was taking 70 to 295 to 55. Now I'm taking 73 to Piney Hollow Road.

Black sport, tinted back half, black mud flaps.

Interesting. Why do they feel that way?

Business is business. I would think that as long as the farmer was getting a fair price for his product, then why does he care how it's being used?

Don't get me wrong. I'm not an advocate of ethanol fuel. I wish it would go away. I'm just wondering why the corn farmer cares.

i know about 5 farmers who do grow corn, but only for animal feed. their problem is they don't get a fair price for the corn if it is for ethanol production. it also drives up food costs

So if the corn farmer doesn't feel he's getting a fair price for his corn if it goes toward ethanol, then why doesn't he sell it to someone else who will pay more and use it for a different purpose?

It's just economics. The farmer doesn't care who or why. They care about how much more. And that's true of any producer.

On topic, my mpgs are creeping up again with a change in daily drive. My in-laws are watching the kids now at my house so I can go straight to work without a daycare stop. This next tank will be revealing. I'm betting on beating my usual 26-27 avg by a couple.

So the ethanol drives up corn demand, which drives up corn prices. Corn not for ethanol goes up too then, because there's not as much available. So what we are hearing is that corn for human consumption is worth more than corn for ethanol, and the price of corn to feed people is going up because there is less of it because some of it (apparently that grown on less desirable land?) is grown for ethanol and corn for animals is somewhere in between but still drives up the demand, right?

Ended up with 370 miles at 12.2 gal/30 mpg. I'll take it for an AWD!

My AVG MPG display is currently showing 33 MPG, with 150 miles since last fill-up. This is my 3rd fill-up with no-ethanol gas. I think it gives me 10% better fuel economy, but I pay 10% more for it. So I break even financially, but get the satisfaction of seeing good numbers on the display.

Must be nice. Where I live, the only way to get E0 is to buy premium 91 octane gas, which jacks the price way up. I wish I could buy 87 octane E0.

I wish I could get top tier fuel, but there aren't any around here, if there is they don't have e0, :-(

What are you paying for premium out there? E0 87 here is 3.699

Toronto the premium 91 comes converted to gal at 5.66 and the uber 93/94 is 6.12/gallon
Btw that price includes 13% tax.
