Hey guys I've got a plasma blue pearl sti sedan. It really was not the color I wanted (wanted SWP) but I couldn't pass up the deal. I do like the color, but have had a hard time deciding what colors match it. For example I want to get some supertones and powdercoat my calipers. I don't want red! I like bright colors. But I can't think of any color that would look good.
Green + PBP = Barney the Dinosaur Gold + PBP= Crown Royal Red + PBP = Ugly Anyone have any suggestions? ![]()

Whenever I get my supertones, I plan in painting them the color of the stock WRX wheels (I believe someone said DupliColor Graphite Gray was a match).
I guess that's not bright lol. Sorry. That's my plan for mine, though: stay in the gray/silver family. I guess I'm more subtle. |

If you check out a site like this one, you can see that complementary colors to PBP would be in the yellow/orange range. It all really depends on how much you want these accents to pop.
Your best bet is to ask someone to photoshop what you're looking for and decide from there. |

Orange...hmmm I think you may be on to something. Orange calipers and supertones may look good
Jayp5150: I don't plan on doing it to my wheels. Just calipers and supertones. I've just always loved big bright brakes. |

You're basically talking about RBP (Ridge Blue Pearl) which was a common and desirable color on the gm6/gm8 ('gc8') 2.5RS's from the late 90's/early 00's.
Should look up some of the older builds in the GC thread in the car gallery and see what worked. Look up Adamsrs, red worked well on that car. But my personal choice would be flat gunmetal (similar but maybe a little lighter than the Work wheels color - which people use Duplicolor Engine Enamel Cast Coat Iron as a substitute for). Brakes that color + red lettering = Brembo monoblock race caliper style |

I wouldn't have thought of it, but the right orange on those items would be nice.

I vote for Burnt Orange. it's understated compared to gold but stands out when applied to darker colors. Check out Overland04's build thread, he used it on white but i think it still works.

Well I know a lot of things would look good on white, just hard to find something that doesn't clash with PBP. kinda leaning towards the orange or yellow? Anyone else have any ideas? Or photoshop skills?
