Default BMW 2-Series Coupe Spotted Cold Weather Testing

Quote:
After catching the BMW 2-Series Convertible testing in the snow, our spy photographers caught up with the 2-Series Coupe undergoing some cold weather testing as well.

The former 1-Series will become the 2-Series with the German automakerís new naming system. When the 2-Series enters production, it will move to a platform shared with MINI and feature a front-wheel drive configuration.
Look for BMW to offer similar powertrains to what is currently available in the 3 Series, with a 240 hp turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder as well as a 300 hp turbocharged inline-six.

No, that report is wrong. The 1 series will be offered in both FWD and RWD form, while the 2 series will be RWD based. This is pretty well known at this point.

Looks much better than the current 1 series, which I never really hated like others. This is definitely sleeker with less cat-belly though, so maybe it will satiate that line.
