Actually, the wind help make it less slick. If you pile enough fluffy snow on top of it the slick ice goes away.

I could get away with getting a 2nd set and a new set of Blizzaks, but, I've got some other 2013 investments ready for the WRX which don't involve wheels. (=

I'm hating the ice under the snow right now... Blizzaks are on their last winter and I was pushing the brakes so I could stop to make a left on Gambell right where the bank is to go pick up a car at Cal Worthington and slid right into the road with a car headed right my way... Threw it into second , turned the wheel and slammed on the gas after I realized I wasn't going to stop in time and decided to go for it... Missed the car by about a foot. Freaked out my coworker in the passenger seat... He grabbed and held the handle above the window like he was holding on for dear life. >_>

Hopefully the generic sedan in the first lane and the truck in the middle lane weren't too mad that I totally pulled a douche move on them. Sorry strangers!

its a mess out there.. they had a full on plow operation going on in the middle of heavy traffic on lake otis...
..that's not very turbo-friendly.
