Default Driveline binding?

So I have on 07 STI and when I have the DCCD in auto I get crazy clicking and poping noises from the front and rear diffs. Like not normal, people have sat in my car and said theirs does not do that. The noise goes away though when I have the DCCD on man and all the way open. ( I have never had it set to anything else other then open )

So...any ideas?

Open means no dccd engagement. Closed (or closing by degrees) means dccd is locked and power split (on mine) is 50-50. I get those same noises at slow speeds when locked.

BTW only engage my dccd when racing on dirt and maybe on snow street driving.

So basically you have to turn it to manual mode every time you restart the car? The auto function even on open locks the dccd?

Do you have different sized wheels or tires?

No. When I got the car the tires were beat. I replaced all 4 with a nice set of Goodyears. It was worse with the beat tires on. I'm worried I'm going to break something, it sounds bad and you can feel it in the car bind up and skip and crackle as it moves in tight turns in auto open.

My controller is aftermarket and has no auto mode. If i unplug connector from controller by default dccd opens. If you can defeat your controller the dccd will open. If you accomplish both then the problem is related to your controller.

Hm OK. I'll gave it a shot tonight.

Also I feel it does it more/worse when warm. Like after a decent drive, mayby 15 mins of freeway driving or so.
