Question Will a 2.2 liter head fit and work on a 1.8 liter block

Hi,

I am trying to find a larger head that will bolt up and function on my 1.8 liter. I was was wondering if the 2.2 liter head will work or the 2.5. If not is there anyone that does a good head work?

Any info would help

Thanks

Tom

Default All EJ heads work

All EJ series heads are compatable. What you need to look at is what your compression ratio ends up after a head swap. Most of the 2.2 heads are a horrible upgrade because they are single port exhuast I think the 1.8 heads are all dual port not a 100% on that. So going to a 2.2 head could actually be a downgrade.
