Car: 2006 Subaru Impreza WRX Wagon
Tuner: Me Dyno Info: Mustang @ Enhanced Street Performance Ambient Temp: 45*F Elevation: about 502' ASL Transmission: Stock 5MT Gear: 3rd Peak HP at RPM: 236whp @ 5650rpm Peak Torque at RPM: 293ft/lbs @ 3000rpm Baseline hp/tq for a stock on same dyno: forgot to ask Target Boost: 18 PSI taper to 12 PSI Target AFR: 11:1 on 91 octane Fuel: 93 Octane 10% E Mods: Custom Tune GodSpeed Downpipe lava wrapped some brand of 2.5" catback Grimmspeed 3" to 2.5" DP adapter Grimmspeed TGV deletes AMR inlet Ks tech 65mm maf CAI Yes the boost doesn't hold on the dyno like it does on the street, hence the taper to 9psi up top and not holding 18 as long as normal. And yes the afr graph is a bit weird because I was still tuning the intake in at the time. Thats fixed now as well. Theres a lot on the table still with leaning it out and adding timing, but I have a racecar this is just a daily. ![]()

Its possible they had the vehicle weight set wrong, Ive had that happen on Mustang's a couple of times. How were the AFR's compared to on the street?? Thats usually the give away the load is wrong on the car!

They were about the same as the street, but I don't have (or even want) enough resolution in the commanded afr table to see a difference in that amount of load. I could have just dynoed in 4th to get more load, but the clutch slips in 4th.

Get a VF39, an STi intercooler/splitter and a retune.

Yup, this is what they do on a 2.5L when tuned. They hit hard at 3,000 rpm and promptly fall on their face.

We'll see. I might build myself a rotated setup for an EFR later, but evrey time I think that I smack myself, call myself a dumbass and remind myself I have a dedicated racecar.
A bolt on stock location 35-42ish lb/min BB turbo would be kind of nice. |

Ha! I've heard of this car. What'd it make at 9:1 AFR?

yup the TD04 isnt going to make any crazy type of power. I do like the tq you're seeing though. Us with the 2.0 dont get to enjoy those numbers on stock turbo

Boost actually looks decent where it is now. Bumping boost won't really help you too much in the scheme of things, just puts a more of a load on an already failing clutch. I'd work on fueling, the mid-rpm rise is concerning. Also, if you are really holding 12psi to redline, thats on the high end for these cars. I usually see 9-10.
Also, was this car done opensource or cobb? |

The mid rpm rise is gone, that run was after only doing one wack at the maf tuning. Theres more power to be had pulling some more fuel and adding more spark. But with the clutch boarderline I didnt feel like running it on the dyno any more.

You're making good power now. I really dont know how much safe power is left.

I like the TD04 for the quick spool advantage. 293 ft-lbs tq is pretty nasty, especially that fast on the powerband. All depends on your use of the car though...as a DD it's your choice. I use mine for autocross mainly so I need the quick spool.

I know there is the space on the compressor map to do it, it may even be worth while to push it up to 23psi. But again its the daily, not the racecar.

Everyone has thier opinion on this. I would leave boost around 18-19, thats a good place to be for a daily/stock clutch. If you wanted a huge neck snapping torque spike, 21+ would help that. And it is possible to run 21 psi on a cranked up actuator.

You're kidding right? I know for a fact this Mustang dyno reads ~10% lower than a dynojet with the weather station on. I'll go run it on the dynojet 15 minutes from my parents house that I went to the last time I dyno'ed a car at ESP and was disappointed with the numbers. Without a doubt I could produce a dynosheet from that dynojet with 320-330 ftlbs and 260-270hp. But I dont have anything to prove to some dude on the internet, I'm not trying to sell myself as a tuner here.
