Thanks I found more pics in this thread with the shroud. It doesn't show how far back the outlet goes though, but I get the idea. I was also looking at the GST splitter. I might try fabbing my own underpanel with vents in it. I really like the idea of placing the quick latch on the panel to make it easy to pull off. I may as well since I've cut enough of the car to make resale nearly impossible haha

Just FYI: power enterprise sells adapter blocks from their kits to angle the stock condenser. I had a friend pick it up in Japan and ship it to me.
I ordered a new factory condenser and put it on. It fit but I us to bend the crap out of the lines. ![]() It's hard to see but it doesn't cover the whole radiator which I switched out for a bigger core. |

It's still getting there for me but here's where we are at. Ducting is starting to come together and needs to be welded up. I'll be working on her more today and I do apologize for photo quality.
Boost junkie your setup is wonderful! It's making me want to have mine all finished but we still have a large checklist of things to take care of. Can't wait to see the finished product on both our projects. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I've seen the picture of this Radiator posted many times throughout this thread but I never saw any pictures of it actually installed. Has anyone used this type of Radiator, or does anyone have a link to a thread I might have missed showing them being used? Thanks for the help |

I'm using a Mishimoto MR2 radiator. It has 45 degree angled up inlet/outlets both on the top of the rad, and all the tabs on the bottom are angled 45 degrees as well so it's very easy we've found to make work.
I've since fixed all the fins in the picture above, the intercooler is fully welded, and my vent is now painted. I still have to do a final sanding and clear coats/buffing. She's a bit of a mess currently! hahah ![]() |

Taiwanese quality WRC vent via e-bay for $66. Not really meant for my generation STi but it'll work to a certain extent.
Oddly enough I think b/c of the fact I had to buy paint, primer, bondo, sandpaper, and wax/grease remover I've doubled the cost of it now + a few blisters from sanding. EDIT: @TIGWERKS: How does Ryan (Area1320) not know you're doing a v-mount build? He's said nothing of this! I just noticed your posts. Car looks nice! Once I finish with my hood we're going to make a replacement bumper beam and reinforce where the old bottom rad support was. He just finished welding my intercooler today. Are you guys seeing lower IAT's with this setup? What would you say the biggest benefit of this onfiguration is?

If a V mount is vented properly, I am sure IAT will be lower than a typical fmic. In a V mount setup, the air is not only being pushed thru the IC fins (with speed) but it is also pulled by low pressure where the WRC vents opens up. It is pull & push setup and will force more air thru the I/C core. The air rushing out of the vent on top of the hood will also help with front lift at high speeds. Much less piping means better spool up. |

Sysfailur-I'm not sure how he doesn't know. Chat with him on Facebook every now and again and post plenty of pics as I progress. I'm hoping to have the car shipped from CA to TX as I just moved so I can finish all the small things left on it.
