Since we're showing off headlights, I did mine in a krylon carbon grey metallic which comes in pretty close to looking like DGM and has a metallic flake just like DGM. I also went ahead and did the TSXR lens swap which I am really happy with.

Looks good! I saw on other forums people swapping out the lenses for the TSXR ones. What the benifit? Do they make your lights brighter?

The TSXR lens in crystal clear, the factory STI lens is kind of hazy and has swirls in it if you look closely. The TSXR lenses shine brighter and throw the light at least twice as far because of them being entirely clear.

This is what the TSXR lens looks like out of the box as you can its just like a magnifying lens crystal clear. I'll have to get a shot for comparing of the stock sti lens for you to see what I'm talking about

I know I had seen it done a few other places with reflective red tape but again I didn't do it personally. Paint looks like it works good did you as well use some sort of a higher temp paint?
I think it looks good on some cars, depends how the whole package is put together.

yeah high temp flat paint, its not something that really in your face, it kinda only looks red at some angles.

How do you do that? I really want that look of the projector while its off. Looks awsome!

Edit: nvm i must have missed it.. You painted the cut off shield. I bet it would be even brighter with the TSXR lens tho

hey did y'all bother with a clear coat on top of that black paint?

i'm gonna do the shrouds/cowls orange to match my STI, and the rest black, with amber morimotos (TRS having a 4th sale!). also, that cutoff shield paint looks sweet - having the lenses look orange when off might be fun. was it difficult to disassemble the projectors to get at them?
