I wanted to take a moment to snap a few quick shots of my interior for the Top Scoob competition. The initial thought with this project was to mimic the S202 look, but over time it turned into a general effort to make the interior look as nice as possible.

A few things to point out... dyed headliner, A/B/C pillars, roof scoop housing, and what I believe is the ONLY Shapeways red roof scoop latch ever to be made. There are a few other snazzy parts I've picked up over time - it's not a finished product, but it's good enough for now

I say just do it in stages...

* Battery - fourish hours

* Engine harness extension - fourish hours

* Grinding or cutting everything off you don't want in the bay

* Putting in sheet metal will really depend if you want to use body panel adhesive or weld it in. I think it's easiest to put the sheet metal in and the filler you want in one day, let it sit, and sand it down randomly when you have time, then primer/painting everything else over a weekend.

-------------------------------

The next step for my build includes some fabrication and a few other things... gonna do things a little bit different than others to deal with the ABS and intake manifold

Alright, well if you want to do it on the cheap, buy a marine battery box, about 22 feet of 0 or 2 gauge wire, and a car audio in-line circuit breaker I spent about 100 bucks on my setup, ordering everything online, but you can probably get all the basics for 60-70.

We can do it at my place, all we need is a torch and, if you want to drill your battery holders through the bottom of the trunk like mine, a drill strong enough and with a large enough diameter.

In other news - two days left in this competition - appreciate the community support and looking forward to seeing people around NOVA this Summer!

Yeah there really is no way around it unfortunately. Money and lots of timeeeeeeeeee. Much more time than money though, but considering I accomplished this while still using it as a DD, shows that it can be done in chunks with planning.

Looks like Wednesday is the last day for voting - please head in over and lend me your votes people! A nifty one-off fabricated part is currently in the mail for the engine bay... just a little something to clean it up more - hoping to have pics tomorrow or Wednesday.

So a big thanks to the MAIC community for coming out in support. Managed to come away with the majority of votes and end up in the lead, although I'm a little surprised it ended up that way!

Thanks again everyone!
