I've had problems with the Downtown location and the location at East Gate. They do a visual inspection which they will fail you for. If they don't see any heat shields they will just fail you usually because they will say they don't see the cat.

Depends on how it handles the readiness monitors. If it just suppresses the MIL but still stores codes without running the readiness tests you will probably fail.

If your acessport will display readiness monitors based on complete/incomplete status you can check it before hand since that is all the state OBD scan does. I know some hand held scanners like my OTC 3109 will display readiness monitors and a state OBD status. You are looking for a number in ready, zero in not ready, and the N/A column/row is of no consequence. Disconnecting the battery clears all readiness monitors which is why it clears codes. Some monitors require a specific drive cycle and time to re-test so you can't just clear codes and attempt an emissions test.

They do a visual, but then when you put a mirror under the driver's side of a WRX/STI you can't actually see the cats anyway - they don't know what they are looking at anyway. I imagine all they are looking for is modifications - a short pipe with welds at each end kinda stuff.

That's always a relief!! I had a 1.8t Jett's one time that I bought in Knoxville so the tag came as a Knox tag. When I got my Hamilton tag and went through emissions I found out the cel was pulled out of the cluster and it had a **** ton of emissions and misfiring issues. I ended up just trading it in to a dealer.

I wish I could just go drive around a couple laps and not have to pay or sign up haha.

Got the front lip on today looks so much better. Amazing quality considering the JNA one is over half the cost if the oem one

Yeah anyone can go, but you probably need to head there immediately if you plan on running. They normally start the runs about now and want the drivers there much earlier to walk the track and everything.

I am house hunting today, so I will not be able to make it, but I plan on running a few of the events this season so maybe we can get a good showing from some local subies.

I will have to try to find their schedule bc I would love to try it out once and not have to worry about competing against anyone. Just kinda get the hang of it. Wasn't able to get out early enough for it today.

You don't compete against anyone anyway....you compete against yourself.

I hope to make a few this year too. Finally got around to getting some new suspension parts. Installed some jdm pink springs and v7 sti struts yesterday. Wow what a difference just from those. Got the sway bars and endlinks left to do, along with some bushing upgrades. Finally no more crazy body roll.

So....uh....anyone interested in any of the parts on my car? Trying to decide what to do.

My Car A.D.D. is kicking in and I am thinking of parting out and getting something else.
When it kicks in, it is hard to stop it.
