Thanks i am looking forward to it, as for the wait i'm ok with it in fact i told the dealer it was ok to drag his feet a bit about getting the order in( I don't return from Afg. until end of june so it should work out pretty well)

Good question. I purposely ordered mine when I did (Mid-January) for 2 reasons.

Reason #1: To save for a bigger down payment.

Reason #2: So I didn't have to spring for new snow tires right away.

My ETA from my dealer was around 13 weeks, which put me at early to mid-April. Great. While I obviously want the car NOW, I have been pretty good at telling myself that it's better if it comes in later (for reason #2, my goal for my down payment has already been reached. Early might I add.) So everything else I save now is icing on the cake.

Now that I have been seeing most everyone who ordered late December and January getting more solid, early ETA's is making me nervous ( I won't get an ETA until my car is here due to my dealer being SDC). I guess I will play it by ear. I really can't see myself dropping $1000 on snows to use for a couple weeks. Worst care scenario, if it snows I take the g/f's car.

Yeah, I thought I wouldnt get my WRX till end of March/April so I wouldnt worry about getting snow tires but now the wrx is at the port and it's going to be here pretty soon. I can drive on summers on dry days but my (to be gf's ) mazdaspeed3 got snow tires on so I might just suck it up with the cold flat spots in mornings lol. I ordered the wrx mid Jan and the WRX is almost here already. Just an idea that yours might come in soon, my dealership is a SDC dealership as well.

Hmmm, I didn't think yours was SDC. Did you ever get a VON #? Maybe I'll get that magical call tomorrow? I'm too lazy to look back through the thread and I can't remember, I know your's is a SWP, but is it a sedan or a hatch?

Exactly what I ordered except mines a Limited. And you said you eventually got a VON #, right? Or was it just an order #?

From what I heard, when I ordered my WRX, it was already on the ship to USA, seems like Subaru made alot extra WRXs to catch up their demand, Autodimming mirror and floor mats so they can just easily slap those on at the port or so. What accessories did you get?

I got absolutely no accessories at all. Just a plain old SWP Limited hatch lol.

Yeah it seems like they really ramped up production. When I ordered my sales guy told me that SWP takes the longest to get when ordered. Hopefully he was just trying to cover his ass and Subaru stepped up production on SWP to keep up with demand.

Definitely call your dealership a call tomorrow and see whats up!

If they say it's at the port, our wrxs might be parking next to each others
